The Avalokiteshvara Sand-Mandala

Dieses Sand-Mandala wurde unter der Leitung des buddhistischen
Ober-Lama Thinlay Thupten, und drei weiteren Mönchen
in Reru, Zanskar, Nordindien, im August 2002 hergestellt.
Sie leben im Chenrezing Kloster in Dharamsala.

Das Sand-Mandala entstand aus Mitgefühl,
zur Unterstützung des Schul-Projektes in Reru,
gegründet durch Shambhala e.V. München.

Mögen alle fühlenden Wesen Befreiung erfahren
und möge die Kraft des Mitgefühls all-durchdringend wirksam sein.

This Sand-Mandala was created and conducted by the Buddhist
Head-Lama Thinlay Thupten, and three monks,
in Reru, Zanskar, North of India, in August 2002.
They live at the Chenrezing monastery in Dharamsala.

The sand mandala was created out of compassion,
in support of the school project,
established in Reru by Shambhala e.V. Munich, Germany.

May all sentient beings become free
and may the effect of the power of compassion be all-pervading.

Om Mani Padme Hum

so lautet das auf diesem Mani-Stein eingemeiselte Gebet.
Es ist dem Boddhisattva Avalokiteshvara zugeordnet,
dem erleuchteten Buddha der Liebe und des Mitgefühls,
einem der wichtigsten Schutzpatrone und Göttheiten des Buddhismus.
Avalokiteshvara ist auch das Sand-Mandala geweiht, dessen Entstehung
wir in der Schule in Reru in Zanskar miterleben konnten.

It is dedicated to Avalokiteshvara,
the enlightened Buddha of Love and Compassion,
he is one of the most important protecting deity of Buddhism.
The sand-mandala we witnessed in the school of Reru in Zanskar,
is consecrated to Avalokiteshvara.
